InReality Selected as Finalist for 2013 Retail Systems Awards
InReality and partner Danze have been selected as finalists for the 2013 Retail Systems Awards under the “Best use of technology for personalisation” category. We are honored to be selected as a finalist for this global award and look forward to October 24th when the winner will be announced in London!
Danze, a leading bath and kitchen faucet brand, partnered with InReality to transform their faucet shopping and buying experience in the decorative plumbing showroom market, beginning with their new key account, Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. A key objective for Danze and this project was to break through “the sea of sameness” that permeates the decorative plumbing showroom approach to faucet merchandising. Additionally, Danze recognized the opportunity to bring digital technology into play to help create a more dynamic, highly personalized and intuitive shopping experience.
The final solution utilizes RFID technology, which allows customers to use the faucets on display to interact with a digital touchscreen. This touchscreen guides the consumer or designer on a deeper dive into the product and the entire Danze product line. Part of the beauty behind this solution for Danze is that it allows Danze to save money by reducing the number of faucets on display, while giving customers access to the entire product line.
