Store Merchandising Strategy
How does the world’s largest home improvement retailer create a consistent merchandising voice across over 2,200 stores? The Home Depot reached out to InReality for a solution to do just that. After starting with some extensive in-store research to understand shopper needs, pain points and paths to purchase, the team created a visual merchandising guidelines manual, including planogram, product packaging, and off-shelf and end-cap standards. The manual was launched in conjunction with a 750 sq. ft. training facility in The Home Depot’s Innovation Center and easy-access online tools to show vendors and sales associates how to successfully implement the new store standards across all departments. The Home Depot was very pleased with the results.
